Construction of a Secondary Water Transmission Main from McDonald Lake to South Porcupine.

CHARTRAND EQUIPMENT has recently completed the construction of a secondary water transmission main from McDonald Lake to South Porcupine in the City of Timmins. The work included installing 6.2 km of a 300 mm diameter water main and 1.1 km of a 450 mm water main; blasting and excavating 5,500 cubic metres of rock, along with jack and boring under a creek and a set of train tracks. The project began on April 1st, 2008 and was completed on schedule (commissioned and in service) by July 18th, 2008.
