CHARTRAND EQUIPMENT has completed the rehabilitation of the Delnite Mine Tailings Dam B.

The work consisted of environmental protection by installing silt fencing in order to prevent erosion during the construction phase so there would be no seepage of tailings into the water shed. The work also involved clearing of old mine debris consisting of timber and metal containers, grubbing of the vegetation on the slopes and stripping and resloping of the tailings. We applied a rip rap cover to prevent erosion and revegetated the entire surface of the tailings.
